If you have a Combination "Dial" Lock - use these "opening" instructions
Mechanical Dial Instructions
If you need your "Dial" Lock changed: Please use a reputable locksmith that works on safes to change this. You CANNOT do this on your own!!
Electronic Lock Help:
To change your LaGard Electronic Lock - please use these "opening" instructions
LaGard Basic Instructions
Note: If you are having problems with your Electronic Lock, please change the batteries FIRST - the Batteries are located IN THE KEYPAD!!!!
Old Style Keypad
There is a black plastic insert at the bottom of the keypad- pinch and remove. CAREFULLY remove the 9 Volt battery and replace with a NEW Energizer 9 Volt battery. Wait 5 minutes and then enter your existing code.
New Style Keypad
Put your hand on the keypad and push up (like taking a picture off the wall). The battery(s) will be located on the inside of the keypad, CAREFULLY remove the old battery(s) and replace with NEW Energizer 9 Volt batteries.
